Auditions for the 2008-2009 Season have been completed. Please keep posted to the web page for further information on the 2009-2010 Sugar Bear season.
Basic Audition information:
You must bring a dance resume, photo of self (does not have to be professional), School transcript, completed registration form, and registration fee ($10).
Auditions are closed to the public, only the dancers auditioning are allowed to remain in Foundation Hall once auditions have begun.
Requirements: Dancers must be a full-time UNC student & have a cummulative GPA of 2.5 or above.
Dance Requirements: Must have previous dance experience. There are no set technique requirements but you will be compared to the technique of the other dancers auditioning. We are not a competitive team so we do not emphasize technique as much as we do style and how entertaining you are to watch.
Such technique that may be asked of you will be, multiple pirouettes, axles, grande jete, a la second leap, flouettes, a la second turns, toe touch, switch leaps, c-jumps, leg turns, ring jumps, calypso, and multiple extensions. You should expect technique on both sides and combonations.
